The Huntington Country Store is owned and operated by the Butler family – Randy and Becky and their children Isaiah, Amadeus, Kelsey and Christian. It’s a business they all love and one they want to continue for years to come. In many ways, it’s a dream come true.

Like many dreams it’s hard to tell where it began. When they moved to Huntington to live over the store in 1994, Becky and Randy had no idea how wonderful the town and the surrounding area would be. They were delighted to be so welcomed by the townspeople. They remember lots of warm smiles and neighborly visits as they got to know new friends. Gardner State Park, Pettis Field and beautiful Norwich Lake were easy to visit and just added to their joy. A dream was taking shape, a dream to work hard and be happy in a place of their own.

Living in Huntington, raising their children and running the Huntington Country Store was wonderful for Becky and Randy. They loved the country life and fresh, clean air. Working at the store was always enjoyable and fun if not a little hectic at times which only added to the challenge. They agreed it was a great place to work and live. So when Becky's parents, Carol and David Majercik of the Williamsburg General Store, offered to let them take over permanently they were thrilled.

In July 2007 it became official. The Butlers became the proud owners of the Huntington Country Store where they live and work to this day. It was a dream come true.
